Showering Baby Kannon with Love & Magic!

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday so far! I also hope that you have been enjoying these last bits of Summer.

It has felt so strange not sharing weekly recaps lately, but also nice to have a little break since so much has been going on (I’ll fill you in soon). I promise they will be back soon though.

Today I have a special treat for you! Now grab your coffee, tea, or wine (😉) and get to reading.

My sweet family hosted the most incredible Harry Potter themed baby shower there ever was. When Jordan, Mila, and I arrived we were instantly blown away by the wonderful decor, food, treats, and ambiance that they put together.

My entire family has been big Harry Potter fans for many, many years, so a lot of the decorations were trinkets that my younger brother has collected over time as well as some new decorations from Etsy that will be used in Kannon’s nursery. They truly went all out starting from the candles & flying keys hanging from the ceilings all the way to the Harry Potter movie soundtracks playing on their speakers. It felt like pure magic!

They had all of the food catered by Dine Catering & Events, who did an epic job at making delicious finger foods, decorating the food stations, and whipping up some lovely cocktails & mocktails for everyone to enjoy.

The gorgeous cake & macaroons came from Alchemy Bake Lab. The attention to detail on the cake was exquisite & the flavor was unmatched. My Mom ordered the Brown Butter Pumpkin cake that was a combination of spiced pumpkin cake + magical brown butter sauce + lightly spiced french buttercream. It was hands down one of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted & also perfectly fit the theme!

This was one of the elaborate food stations set up by Dine Catering & Events. One of the owners kept the dry ice in the cauldron filled 24/7 and their wait staff constantly had the food refilled. They were amazing!

They served beef Wellington bites, jalapeño poppers, chicken & cheese quesadillas, chicken tacos, pulled pork sliders, and hummus lollipops. It was all so delicious!

We were blessed to have such an incredible turn out of our family & friends that came to celebrate this special with us. I wish we could’ve have gotten photos with everyone who attended. Kannon is already loved by so many people and it makes this Mama’s heart overjoyed.

Jordan and I had a blast opening all of our baby boy’s gifts. We received some amazing toys, necessities, clothes, and so much more. Holding all of the things that he will soon be using or wearing made it all seem so much more real. We only have 5 weeks & 4 days until our sweet boy’s due date and we couldn’t be more excited to meet him.

Questions for y’all:

1. What was the most important lesson you learned in raising your child?

2. When do you think our baby boy will make his debut?

3. What was your all-time most useful baby product?

XOXO, Paige.
