First of all, I apologize for not blogging the last few weeks. I promise to be on top of it again because it really does help me look at the big picture of what is going on in my mind when I type it all out or write it all down.
It’s finally beginning to feel like Fall which has me very excited. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the smell, the colors of everything, the crisp air, yummy food, warm drinks, watching football, wearing sweaters and boots, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the Renessaince Festival, pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins. I love it all!!
My family threw a big Halloween party on the 30th and it turned out great! Everyone came in costume, there was music playing, dancing, and just great quality time with all of our friends.
We spent the afternoon of Halloween carving pumpkins!
And later spent the evening playing card games and handing out candy to the Trick or Treaters 🙂
After a long two days the entire family was exhausted but we decided to go out and ended up having a wonderful day on Sunday. We all went out for sushi before some of my family and friends had to head back home to Dallas. Later that day I tried Torchy’s Tacos for the first with my family and one of my best friends. After dinner we all met my grandparents to see “Goosebumps” at the theater.
Today was nice as well. I’m not the typical “I hate Monday’s” kind of person, I actually like Mondays because they always feel like a fresh start to me. I was able to sleep in this morning before my 12:30pm government class, which was nice after a long weekend. After class I went to Starbucks to study for an exam I have on Wednesday. It was very nice and relaxing. I usually study in my apartment, but I tend to get sidetracked by other things I could be doing so going somewhere else to study kept me focused. While I studied I listened to Christmas music and had a delicious cappuccino. After 3 hours of studying I met my brother and sister for dinner and then headed to meet my trainer for a hard evening workout. We worked my shoulders and triceps today, which are the weakest parts of my body so I am definitely going to feel it tomorrow lol. I ended my day watching “The Voice” and last nights recording of “Once Upon a Time,” which were both great! My family loves watching our favorite TV shows and movies together so I love winding down and sitting in the living room with the family enjoying them together before I head to bed.
Before I go to sleep I have some exciting news to share! I have been invited into an internationally recognized honors society called Phi Theta Kappa and I signed up for my membership today! Being in college has been such a great experience for me after being homeschooled my whole life. I was scared that I wouldn’t excel in public school, but after making good grades the last year and now being in an honors society I know for a fact that I can do this and be good at it. I love school. I love to learn new things and to see myself evolve. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.
It was a GREAT weekend indeed! Also…so VERY, VERY proud of you Paige – called Pawpaw and told him too about the Honor Society and he said to tell you he loved you and was proud of you too!!! LOVE YOU!!!
