Good morning & happy Thursday! I hope each of you have been doing well & enjoying your time this Fall. Fall is my favorite season (if you couldn’t tell) and we have been busy, busy, busy taking part in all the fall activities + family & friend’s events lately.
It’s been pretty chilly for Magnolia this last week and we just lost power in our neighborhood about 45 minutes ago, so I am cozied up by the fireplace while Kannon naps finally getting the recap ready to post.
Now go ahead and grab your coffee, tea, or wine (😉) and get to reading!

This last month has been filled with so much fun & joy. The weather here in Magnolia has been absolutely beautiful for the most part, so we have enjoyed plenty of time outdoors, which makes my heart SO happy!
Throughout this past month quite a bit has happened! Mila’s fall softball season came to an end, we celebrated many birthday & Halloween parties, Kannon has kept up with his little gym classes, I’ve stayed consistent with my weekly workouts & I’m officially down 15 pounds since August 16th! We have done pumpkin carving/painting & spent lots of time with family & friends. One other HUGE thing is that Kannon is officially walking! On October 12th (the day before turning 14 months) he started walking all over the house & never looked back. He’s a pro now!
I know that I’ve already shared lots of the fun that we’ve enjoyed lately, but I do want to go into a little more detail on the highlights of October & some of November, so here we go!

On October 9, we went to the Houston Zoo for their annual Zoo Boo event. It was so fun getting to take Kannon to see all of the animals with his little friend’s + get to see the whole zoo decorated for Halloween. 🎃

October 19, Jordan and I attended game 1 of the ALCS at Minute Maid Park. It was such a cool experience being able to watch that game in person. GO STROS!

October 22, Jordan and I had our very first overnight date since Kannon was born & 2nd date in one week (thank you, Mom & Dad)! We spent the night in The Woodlands starting out with dinner at True Food Kitchen in Market Street (their teriyaki bowl was AMAZING!!) & then watched The Randy Rodgers Band and Parker McCollum make history at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion. We also found out that some of our good friends were going to the concert just a little bit beforehand, so it was a happy surprise getting to spend some of our night with them.

On October 28, Jordan was handed the keys to his new office. This was a huge step for Jordan and his company. I could not be more proud of what he has managed to build from the ground up in such a short amount of time. I truly don’t know anyone who works as hard as him, but it is all paying off big time and we are so excited for this next step towards the future of the company.

We spent the evening of October 29th at my parents annual Halloween party & the evening of October 31st hosting a neighborhood block party. I think this might have been my favorite Halloween!
The kids looked adorable in their costumes with Mila dressing up as Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” & Kannon as the cutest Dopey I have ever seen. Jordan was the life of the party dressing up as Rob Schneider’s role in 50 First Dates.
I loved getting to see Kannon walk around to trick or treat for the first time & we truly had so much fun with our neighbors. We were blessed with great ones for sure!

We celebrated the bride’s-to-be on November 5th and had the best time. My sister and her fiancé, Emily, are getting married this upcoming March. We are so excited to be apart of their special day.
November 5th was also the day that the Astros won the 2022 World Series! We couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate our favorite baseball team!

Our girl turned 8 years old on November 9th. I still can’t believe that she’s already 8… this was the 7th birthday that I’ve been blessed to spend with her, but it was my favorite one for sure!
This was the first time that we have had possession of Mila on the actual day of her birthday. For the past 8 years, Jordan has only been granted 2 hours with her for her birthday’s, so being able to spend majority of the day with her meant so much to each of us.
We were able to enjoy watching her open the gifts we got her, take her to eat at her new favorite brunch spot (CoCo Crêpes), and have a blast bowling/playing arcade games at Main Event. It was perfect!

We threw Mila a SLIME-tastic birthday party on November 12th to celebrate her special day with friends & family.
I had so much fun bringing her slime party vision to life + her & her friends had the BEST time making awesome slimes together!

Yesterday (November 16th), we celebrated 3 years of marriage. It feels like 3 years passed by in the blink of an eye, but it’s also crazy to look back and think about how much has happened since that day. If you asked me 3 years ago if I could see us with a completely different custody situation for Mila, a crazy & sweet 15 month old boy, a house of our own, and Jordan owning his own very successful company, I would have probably thought we’d have managed to accomplish 1 or 2 of those things, but definitely not all of them. I am incredibly proud of the life we have built so far & cannot wait to see what God has in store for our future. 🤍
Jordan and I had a wonderful dinner together at Fleming’s Steakhouse. We shared a bottle of wine from Rioja, Spain, each got a salad to start, split a dry-aged ribeye cooked at medium-rare + a side of lobster Mac n’ cheese, & ended the dinner with a delectable chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream & chantilly cream. Our bellies & hearts were more than full.
Now that I have you all caught up with the past month and a half of our lives, I can get back to my weekly recaps. I hope that each of you enjoyed today post & have a wonderful rest of your week.
XOXO, Paige.
