Hey y’all & happy Wednesday! Welcome back for another fun weekly recap. I hope that each of you enjoyed a glorious Labor Day weekend.
My little family had quite a bit of fun this past week & I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Now go grab your coffee, tea, or wine (😉) and get to reading!

After leaving you guys last week, I knocked out some household chores & got my workout in.
My goal for last week was a variety of jumping exercises + a short amount of interval running. The first time I completed this exercise (last Monday) it felt impossible to get through the amount of reps/sets of the jumping exercises, so we decided to adjust my plan to a smaller amount of reps/sets and work my way up to the total goal as my body felt ready.

Mila stayed home sick for the first half of last week, but was feeling so much better by Wednesday, so we decided to make the most of her last “sick” day by going on a Starbucks & Hobby Lobby date with our little guy. Mila loved her Strawberry Frappuccino & Chocolate Cake Pop while this mama enjoyed her first Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew of the season!

Once the kids had been fed & put to bed, I made my way to the garage for another late night workout.

Kannon had his 2nd week of classes at the Little Gym & he had the best time! I absolutely love how these classes introduce him to other kiddos around his age, get him moving in different way/trying new things, and give this Mama an extra workout as well.
I knocked out my workout on Thursday with Kannon bouncing by my side & “Encanto” on for our entertainment.

We stayed home most of the day on Friday while getting some chores done around the house & having some of our carpet repaired. I also knocked out another workout sesh in the garage with the little man & “Encanto” before & after getting Mila from the bus stop.
The 3 of us quickly got ready to join Jordan & our neighbors for Friday Night Tex-Mex at our go to spot!

After a nice sleep in, I wanted to complete my workout earlier in the day to make sure I got it in since we had a lot of fun things planned for the rest of the day.

Saturday was such a fun-filled day! Mila & I met my mom to get our nails done & I absolutely loved how my Fall nails turned out.
We ventured the kids over to my parents house & then made our way out for a date night. Jordan & I had the best time hanging out together at Little Woodrow’s & then kicking butt in the arcade at Main Event. It was such a fun night. ❤️

I woke up as a 27 year old on Sunday morning. Jordan was the sweetest by taking over morning duties with the kids & bringing me a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew to bed.
I enjoyed a lovely morning by simply relaxing & even getting a nap in with my little guy before I knocked out my workout for the day. I decided to take my interval running outdoors, which ended up feeling so much faster to complete than on the treadmill, but definitely not as kind on my joints.

We made our way to Crust Pizza Co. to celebrate my birthday with close friends & family. It was the perfect place to celebrate with delicious food & drinks, a nice indoor spot to seat everyone, + a fun outdoor area for the kids to play.
Jordan & I ended the night together watching the latest episode of “House of the Dragon” once the kids were in bed.
The weekend truly ended up being everything that I could have hoped for.

We made our way to Starbucks on Monday afternoon to celebrate PSL Day with my family. If you haven’t been around my blog long, my family has celebrated the PSL returning to Starbucks ever since I was a young girl. It is a simple tradition that I have always loved to share with my family & it makes me so happy that we are able to continue it no matter how old we get, how far each of us lives from each other, or how much our families grow.

Monday was also our last full day with Mila before having to say “goodbye for now,” so we had some fun playing board games together until then. ❤️

I began my new workout goal for the week. We added to the reps/sets of the variety of jumping workouts I had worked on last week + added an incline to my running portions of the interval running. I’m not going to lie, this workout is freaking hard for me and I was absolutely dripping in sweat by the time I was finished.

The Houston Zoo offers a free zoo day once a month, so I thought it would be the perfect activity to take advantage of during the school-year.
Kannon & I met with a good friend of mine and her little girl to explore the zoo together. Kannon was in the happiest mood getting to people watch plus look at a some of the animals.

No part of me wanted to complete yesterday’s workout. My knee was a little sore for Monday’s workout & I was a little tired from being out in the sun/walking most of the day. I finally mustered up enough determination to get it done late, Tuesday night.
My left knee began bothering me quite a bit after completing last night’s workout, so I soaked in an epsom salt bath afterwards to try to help. I think I may need to take my movement a little bit easier today with some walking and stretching to prevent an injury from happening. I am loving how these high-intensity workouts are making my body burn, but I know I also haven’t worked out like this in a long time. It is always best to listen to what your body is telling you so that you can keep the progress going rather than hurting yourself & having to stop.

This little man got a solid, 13 hours of sleep last night & woke up as happy as can be. He had a yummy breakfast of puréed raspberries, bananas, & oats + half a slice of whole grain toast with peanut butter. He absolutely loves peanut butter!
I don’t have too much on the agenda today other than getting some laundry done & running a couple errands, so I’m going to enjoy this slow Wednesday morning until it’s time for Kannon’s nap.
I hope that each of you have a wonderful rest of your week. I’ll be back to write again very soon.
QUESTIONS FOR YOU:
1. What’s your go-to Fall drink?
2. What are your favorite activities to do either at home or out & about with your little one’s?
3. What are your plans for this week/weekend?
XOXO, Paige.
