Hello, my lovely readers & happy Friday! My hubby just hopped on a plane to spend the weekend in Vegas to celebrate one of his greatest friends bachelor weekend! In light of already missing him even though it’s only been a few hours since he left, I decided to finally dedicate some time to getting the second part of our wedding day posted. I have been dying to get this post and our honeymoon post out, but life has been the craziest it’s ever been for me lately so I just needed to focus on what was at hand & wait until I actually had quality time to dedicate to my blog.
It has been 5 years as of January since I started this blog & I have loved every second of it. I began writing on here to document my life and to spread inspiration to others going through the same seasons and possibly trials I have endured through the years. I have learned so much through writing & sharing my life with you all. I want to continue to learn & grow through this blog and to continue to spread joy, kindness, and peace through each and every post. A lot of you have been here since the beginning. You’ve sat along side me as I’ve gone through college, changed career paths (a couple of times 😂), gotten new tattoos, eaten tons of yummy meals, doing some fun/killer workouts & training programs, got my kitties & our doggy, watched me fall in love with Jordan & my now step-daughter, Mila, travels, my skating, moving in with my boyfriend, getting ENGAGED, and lastly you’re with me as I said “I do.” It has been an honor to share all of this & has brought me joy to see all of the comments, likes, and which different parts of the world I have touched along the way. I just wanted to take a second to thank each and every one of you for your continuous support over the years. I can’t wait to watch this blog continue to flourish and grow as the years go on.
Now let’s get started on the second half of our magical wedding day!
Immediately after the ceremony ended, Jordan & I hopped on a golf cart and made our way to a spot by the water to do our pictures. Our sweet caterers put together a small plate of appetizers to snack on during our ride. We used Squash Blossom Catering and their Pulled Pork Quesadillas & Crab Cake appetizers were to die for! P.S. I am absolutely obsessed with how our photos turned out. While cocktail hour was in full swing, we snapped a few photos with our bridal party & family members inside of the venues chapel. The reception barn & decor was all that I had hoped and dreamed it would be. As soon as we walked through the barn doors, I could feel the warmth through the colors & candles like I had wanted and the floral, greenery, and gold details were just gorgeous all put together. I was very much going for a Fall/Game of Thrones style look. Speaking of Game of Thrones… I was obsessed with this GoT themed seating chart that I found on Etsy. I purchased the pdf and told the Etsy shop owner which of my guest were at each table/named each table & then had the picture printed onto a mounted poster board at Office Depot. It turned out wonderful!I also found this amazing Millennium Falcon Sign-In Box on Etsy. I couldn’t believe how unique and detailed it was. Jordan and I both wanted to find something that we would like to display in our home one day & this was just perfect! Jordan and I also really wanted to bring out our fun, nerdy side with some small touches of the things we love like Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and you’ll later see a sprinkle of Harry Potter. 😉My grandfather, sister & grandmother put together these awesome corn-hole boards for our big day/to keep after the wedding. There was tons of space outside of the reception hall for people to sip their drinks & play a good game of corn-hole if they wanted! And the bridal party arrived to join in on the fun!!! We had the bridal party enter to “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus because why not?!Our grand entrance to “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen, followed by our first dance. We danced to “Then” by Brad Paisley, which has been one of our favorites and a very special love song since we started dating. ❤️We asked my father to do the welcome for our guests when the reception officially began. And Jordan’s father to do the blessing before dinner was served. I just realized as I was writing this post that there wasn’t a single picture of our delicious food. For dinner, we served a poblano shrimp pasta, a grilled chicken dish, seasoned veggies, and a mac n cheese station. The Mac n cheese station included a bacon chipotle macaroni, a truffle macaroni, and a traditional cheddar macaroni that had many different toppings to add on the side. It was delicious & all of our guests seemed to love it! After we finished eating, Jordan and I tried our best to go around and say “hello” to our friends and family. When people say that you won’t get to talk to everyone on your wedding day they are not kidding!! We made it a priority to spend a lot of our time on the dance floor, so we asked our guests to join us there. Next up were the special dances. I shared a dance with my kind-hearted father to “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman. My father picked the song and I truly think it couldn’t have been anymore perfect. Jordan & his mother shared a beautiful mother & son dance to “A Mother’s Love” by MAJOR. We also added another sweet dance for Jordan & Mila. They danced to “Diamonds & Daughters” by Aaron Watson. About half way through the song we had the DJ invite all of the other father’s & daughter’s to join Jordan and Mila out on the dance floor. Then it was time to really get dancing! We were so happy with how many people actually got out on the dance floor. It was such a fun night! Jordan & I took a little break from dancing to make our way to the cake table. We chose Red Velvet from Nothing Bundt Cakes for the groom’s cake since it is Jordan’s favorite. I decorated it Star Wars themed & had a blast setting up the Lego Star Wars battle scene the morning of the wedding. I absolutely LOVED how the wedding cake turned out. It was beautiful and tasted amazing. We decided to do a cake with three different flavors. The top layer was a vanilla bean cake with raspberry jam & buttercream, the middle layer was a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and the bottom layer (MY FAVORITE) was a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese buttercream. IT. WAS. AMAZING!
P.S. here is the little hint of Harry Potter that I mentioned earlier for all the nerds out there. We had a blast cutting the cake & trying to eat it lol. Man it tasted good!!And then it was time for the bouquet toss… I threw the bouquet with “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen. 🤣I was dying laughing the entire garter removal. Jordan danced on me to “Pony” by GENUINE and it was hilarious. Everyone danced for the rest of the night! It was seriously so cool to see so many of our friends and family get out on the dance floor and just have a blast with us! Once the night was coming to an end, Jordan and I shared a private last dance as our guests got their sparklers ready outside. This dance was probably my favorite part of the night other than our ceremony. We danced to “I’d Love To Be Your Last” by Clay Walker. It was such a sentimental moment and it was finally just him & I. Practically the whole time we danced I tears up realizing what actually had happened that day as it all fully set in. I felt beyond blessed knowing he was now my husband and that I get to spend the rest of my life with him as my partner. The grand sparkler exit was so much fun. Everyone was screaming & cheering as we walked down the aisle + stopped for a few kisses. What a celebration it was to become Mr. & Mrs. Muse!
Our entire wedding was unforgettable. I couldn’t have asked for a better day & it was truly the best day of my life. I am also so incredibly thankful for all of our wonderful friends & family members for coming to celebrate us. The night wouldn’t have been the same without you all!
I hope that you all enjoyed reading about our special day as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am also so excited to share our honeymoon with you all very soon! Have a wonderful Friday and rest of your weekend.
