Halloween, The World Series, and a Wedding.

Hello everyone, I hope that y’all are doing well, had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and are having fun getting amped up for Christmas festivities. I actually have had some super fun plans the last few weeks, but let me catch y’all up on what has been going on since my last post. 😊 Tuesday, October 24th was day 9 of my cleanse. That evening I headed to my parents to watch game 1 of the World Series! My mom made me a delicious chopped salad to eat. Wednesday morning, I made myself an egg bagel for breakfast after coaching a 6am lesson. I’m obsessed with these things. For lunch, I stopped by Chipotle to get a bowl filled with brown rice, steak, and a little bit of cheese and sour cream. I was so excited to rock this “Fly the Pennant” t-shirt that Jordan had bought me after the Astros won the American League Championship. He and I went to Pappasito’s for dinner and Brittany was our waitress. We ordered beef fajitas cooked without butter and with wheat tortillas. We watched part of the game there, but decided to venture to District 249 a little bit later to watch the rest of it. I’m glad we ended up at D249 because the atmosphere was so great. Everyone there was in such high spirits as the Astros won their first game of the World Series! Starting Thursday, I tried my best to continue this healthy lifestyle because I really wanted to stick with it. I went to Panera for breakfast to get their ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread and a coffee. It was delicious.

Hudson had his first ice skating lesson with me that Thursday and did an amazing job. I had taken him out to skate a few times here and there, but now he is taking weekly lessons and he is doing awesome!! After his lesson, I went to Grab-n-Go Tacos with my family and Fallon for lunch. I ordered there chicken lettuce wraps with a few pieces of grilled shrimp.

After coaching on Thursday evening, I went to Jordan’s to make some spaghetti and meatballs for Jordan, Mila, and I. Mila was cracking me up by watching her try to eat it. Friday morning, I went skating with Fallon. It felt amazing to get back on the ice for a little bit. I really want to start doing it more. After skating,  I put on the new “Beauty and the Beast” and ate a delicious breakfast. Then…. I went to finally get my hair done!!! I hadn’t gone to get it colored or anything since June, so it felt very refreshing to get a new fresh hair do. I want to go more of an icy blonde, so this was our first try at it and I love how it turned out. I’m going to get some purple shampoo to try out soon!  Friday evening was my baby cousin’s 1st birthday party. Dusty is such a sweet little boy and I had so much fun spending time with him, celebrating his special day. After his party, I grabbed myself a wheat burrito from freebirds that had Spanish rice, black beans, and cheese. I joined Jordan at a family friends’s house to watch the rest of the Astros game. They won again!! Dilly Dilly! Saturday night, my family had their annual Halloween party. The theme was “IT” and my Dad even dressed up as the creepy clown. My sister helped me create this Khaleesi costume. I was so excited with how it turned out and loved getting to see what I looked like with blue eyes for a night. The whole Game of Thrones crew!!I even had my very own dragons. Told you he was creepy. My sister dressed up as Sansa. You cant really see the detail of her costume in this picture, but she did an amazing job. It was such a fun night that I got to spend with some of my very best friend’s. Until next year!! Sunday, was a rough day for me. You could say that I had a little too much fun the night before. I ended up sleeping most of my day away. Jordan had gone dove hunting on Saturday, so he used the meat, wrapped it in bacon, and seasoned it with pineapple. I had never eaten dove and didn’t expect to be a fan, but I absolutely loved it. He did a great job! Tuesday evening (Halloween), Jordan and I carved our pumpkins. It was fun getting to do that together and I thought they both turned out really well. After the pumpkins carving, we headed out to watch the second to last game of the World Series!

Wednesday night, we all headed to District 249 to watch the Astros win their first World Series Championship. I can’t even put into words what an exciting moment it was to watch our team win it all, especially after what Houston has been through this Fall. What a fun and uniting experience it was and it will never be forgotten. Friday morning, I met Jordan for breakfast at a place called, “The Nook” in Old Town Tomball. It was a cute, little family run restaurant that served some delicious breakfast food. Saturday morning, I picked up my sister to head to Louisiana for our aunt’s wedding. We stopped by the Black Walnut for breakfast and I ordered their eggs Benedict and a coffee. Bailey and I spent our 4 hour car ride singing along to some of our favorite songs, watching Stranger Things, and picking on each other. It was wonderful. We were so excited to arrive at the wedding venue and to see our family. The food at the wedding was amazing. They gave us an appetizer of fried jalapeños before the salad came out. The salad was a wedge of lettuce with corn, peppers, jalapeños, artichokes, and some type of homemade dressing. It was incredible. For the main course, they served a fettuccine pasta with shredded chicken and chives. I loved it all. We had such a great time dancing the night away with our family followed by spending the night at our great uncle’s house, sipping on wine and listening to our cousin sing and play the guitar. Before Bay and I headed back to Houston, we had some fried chicken and pie with the family. I can’t even describe how nice it was to see everyone again after years of being apart from some of them.

I can’t wait to return shortly with lots of Thanksgiving and Christmas activities. I hope you all have a wonderful hump-day!

XOXO, Paige.
