Life Isn’t Easy, But It Sure Is Beautiful.

Hello everyone, I’m sorry I haven’t written in a few weeks (again). I know I sound like a broken record saying that “I’m sorry I haven’t been writing” or “I promise I will start writing more,” but I really do try my best to write as much as possible because I love it. Sometimes life just gets in the way.

This morning I woke up at 5:30am, I went to Starbucks to grab myself a PSL, and sat down in my cozy bed motivated to write this post. I ended my last post stating that I’ve been working on eating cleaner. My stomach issues have been bothering me a lot recently, so during the week I’ve been trying to eat less gluten, minimal dairy, and just trying to fill my body with nutritious food. The pasta above is gluten free (made out of rice bran) and I paired it with, shrimp, Italian salad dressing, reduced-fat feta cheese, hard boiled eggs, and spinach. This meal was so delicious. For breakfast, I’ve been sticking to gluten-free bread topped with a probiotic melt, egg whites/whole eggs, and turkey bacon.

I’ve been able to stick to a decently clean diet during the week, but I’ve been having a hard time on the weekends. Once I start getting better on the weekends, results should start coming in quicker for my health and fitness goals. Up until last week, it had been over 80 degrees everyday. Since I love Fall, I had to figure out how to create some cute Fall outfits that wouldn’t give me a heat stroke. I loved this one!About two weekends ago, my family and Jordan’s family celebrated Mila’s 2nd birthday. It was a fun day that consisted of a moon bounce, hot dogs, and cupcakes. Mila received some super cute gifts. That same evening, some of us went out to play beach volleyball. I’m pretty horrible at playing volleyball, but it was a very fun time! That following Sunday, we had an early Thanksgiving with some of my Dad’s side of the family. My cousin Shay moved to Australia last year, so her and her English boyfriend came to visit a little before Thanksgiving. Since they won’t be here for the actual day and her boyfriend had never celebrated Thanksgiving before, we decided to do an early celebration just for them. It was so much fun! Last Monday, I met Jordan for his lunch break. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and I enjoyed my favorite meal there (Chicken di Pana). It was so nice getting to go enjoy lunch with him in the middle of our busy days. Monday evening, Jordan made an amazing dinner for us after our workout. He seasoned & grilled a great steak and made some brown rice, red beans, and corn for the sides. I love that my man can cook. 😉Last Tuesday morning, I voted for the very first time. It was such an exhilarating experience that I couldn’t be happier to partake in.

It has been very sad to hear about all of the riots taking place in America right now and I hope that this country can come together to unite as one. All I know is that I haven’t felt more patriotic in my entire life and I can’t wait to see which direction this country will go in the next 4 years.Last Wednesday, was Mila’s actual birthday, so I went with Jordan and his family to Pappasito’s to celebrate this sweet girl’s birthday. It was so cute watching her sit with a sombrero on while the waiters sang to her and Jordan shook some maracas. My Mom started decorating for Christmas the day after Halloween. My family loves Fall and Thanksgiving, but as soon as Halloween is over, those Christmas decorations are up in our house. I got my first “red cup” from Starbucks last week and I was beyond excited. I absolutely love the art work that they used in the design of the cups this year. Both of my younger brothers got their hair chopped off and they both look so handsome. I can’t get over how different they look without their long hair that I loved, but I think that they look so stinking cute.I coached all Saturday morning, which felt like the longest morning I’ve had in a long time. The rink has been so cold lately and it has been making me not feel very well trying to adjust to the temperature change. After work, I met my family for a nice, warm lunch at a new place called, “Ambriza.” This Place was really cool. The food was super yummy and the atmosphere was great.

Saturday evening, Jordan and I went to the Galleria to watch the ice skating show they had for the lighting of the Christmas tree. We got hooked up with some super close seats and loved every minute of the show. I was so happy that Jordan wanted to go watch this performance with me. My life has revolved around skating, so it’s amazing to have someone who not only enjoys watching it with me, but is also so supportive of my coaching career. After the show, we went to the Cheesecake Factory (yes, for the second time that week lol).We shared their chicken & biscuits meal, which needed more biscuits in our opinion and just had such a wonderful time. We talked/goofed off for hours, disliked mojitos, and divulged in a delicious chocolate cheesecake. After a late night, we somehow woke up at 7am and made it to the baseball fields. We went to watch Davis and Jordan’s brother, Luke, play baseball. After the baseball games were finished, we also went to Hudson’s last flag football game. It was definitely a busy day, but I couldn’t have picked a better day to be outside.Sunday was such a beautiful and cold day. We topped the evening off with s’mores by the fire pit with my family. It was a great way to end an amazing weekend!Monday night, I went with my family, Jordan, and our friend, Brian, to see “Doctor Strange.” Before the movie, we tried Firehouse Subs for the first time. I ordered a meatball sub and it was delicious. The movie was super good, we all loved it!!

Last night, I went to the mall with Jordan to help him find something to wear for his sister’s/my best friend’s 21st birthday party this upcoming weekend. We had some fun in the mall finding him something snazzy to wear. We also couldn’t go to the mall without doing the mannequin challenge.

I can’t believe next week is Thankgiving! This upcoming weekend and week is going to be filled with tons of fun plans. I most likely won’t be back to write until after Thanksgiving. I hope that you all have an incredible time.

XOXO, Paige.
