Hello everyone!! I hope that y’all have had a great week so far.
Yesterday was the last day of the cleanse phase of the challenge and today marks day 1 of the Max phase. I am honestly feeling incredible. Everyday my energy has increased, I’ve slept better at night, and I have been way more positive and happy than usual because of it!
I didn’t get pictures of everything, but here are some of the different things I ate and exercises I did during the last 10 days.
I love eggs, so I ate them almost every single day. I would make something a little different for lunch each day, but it would almost always have eggs in it.
In the image above, I scrambled up 3 whole eggs and mixed them with a little bit of reduced-fat feta cheese before putting them into a whole wheat flatbread. This meal was super yummy and filling.
I only ran 3 times during the past 10 days. I also made it up to the gym a few times with my family. I’m going to try to workout a lot more and I’m also going to start getting out on the ice more soon. I’ve been missing it terribly but haven’t had enough energy to skate in the mornings and get through a day of school until now. I’m so excited!
This was my favorite dinner so far. My mom baked some lemon, pesto chicken, along with some cauliflower potatoes (which are amazing and carb-free), and some peas.
My Mom cooked dinner almost every night. The only nights she didn’t cook or I wasn’t home when she did, I would just make something quick and healthy for dinner.
One of the days I didn’t have a chance to go home for lunch so I stopped by Starbucks to get their reduced-fat turkey bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. I ate these when I did the challenge last time because they are delicious, everything in them is healthy, and the sodium content is good!! I also love their spinach, egg, and feta cheese wrap!
Here we have a 2 whole egg, 1 egg white omelette, with some Applegate chicken sausage and a red potatoe scramble. I mixed some reduced-fat feta cheese and kale in with the red potatoes. Yum!
My mom made us some calzones for dinner one night. She used whole wheat pizza crust, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, and a little pesto. She also had tomatoes in hers, but I don’t like tomatoes so she didn’t put them in mine. 😊
One day for lunch I decided to scramble my eggs in with the potatoe mix instead of having the eggs on the side. I know that it’s only a slight difference, but I decided to give it a shot so that I don’t get tired of this meal. It’s seriously so good!!
If I ever crave coffee I will get myself a skinny hazelnut latte from Starbucks. They are delicious and also kick the cravings of sweets if you’re having any. If I have 2 sparks in a day and I’m craving coffee then I will just have a decaf so that I don’t have too much caffeine, but you can also just have a spark in the morning and have your caffeinated coffee later in the day if you want to skip your second spark.
This is honestly one of my favorite meals. I love peanut butter and it’s also super quick and easy to make. It’s also great running fuel!
Here is one of my healthy pizza’s. These things are amazing. I use whole wheat pizza crust, some light virgin olive oil for the sauce, garlic powder, mozzarella cheese, and some pepperoni. Sometimes I will use reduced-fat turkey pepperoni, but they have more sodium than regular pepperoni. I will also add kale or spinach to them. I definitely recommend this meal, especially if people around you are ordering pizza and you want to be healthy.
I love life cereal. I was starving one of the days in between lunch and dinner, so I made myself a bowl of cinnamon life with lactose free milk. It was perfect!
I made myself a banana, peanut butter, and chocolate protein shake for breakfast before getting on the ice to skate yesterday. It was delicious and kept me super full until lunch time.
I definitely feel like I’ve lost water weight during the cleanse. My upper body and face look thinner, but more importantly I feel so much better. My body just feels good and I have more energy. I’m really going to kick working out into high gear during these next 14 days to finally get myself in a consistent workout routine. I’m so glad that eating this healthy makes me feel so good. I honestly haven’t wanted to cheat on my diet at all, although I have occasionally thought about how I will treat myself to my favorite crepe whenever the challenge is over. But the biggest part of all of this is that I’m not going to let this challenge ever really end. My mom and I wanted to do this 24-day challenge to get ourselves into the groove of eating clean all of the time and I am going to continue eating this way after the 24 days is over. I will also continue to buy the daily advocare vitamins to keep up my energy and this healthy lifestyle. I am evolving in a good way and I am so happy about that! I will update y’all once I’ve completed the challenge. Let me know if any of you have any questions at all!! I’ve been super into health & fitness for most of my life and have tried a bunch of different things, so I love to help anyone in need!
I’ll be back very soon!❤️
XOXO, Paige.
