Trail Riders, Movies, and The Green Smoothie Cleanse!

Hey y’all, I hope that you have all had a delightful week. My week was pretty busy, which has left me a little tired this weekend, but at least I get the weekend to reboot and catch up on sleep.

Thursday was a really good day for me. The night before I watched the new Cinderella movie again, which always fills me up with positivity and optimism. I woke up for my 8am class Thursday happy and ready to take on the day. After my class I went to Starbucks for a cappuccino. It was so beautiful outside, so I sat out in the sunshine while I had my coffee.

After coffee, I met with my family for our annual tradition of watching the trail riders come through. Every single year since I was a little girl we have stood on the side of the road to watch the trail riders come through for the Houston Rodeo. Sometimes they will stop to have a lunch break and we are able to talk to them and pet the horses. It has always been so much fun and I love that we have carried on the tradition after all these years.
Thursday evening I coached my adorable little students. These two girls are daughters of coaches I grew up taking from, so it has been such an honor to be able to coach their little ones. They bring me so much joy every single lesson.

During my class Thursday morning, my medical terminology professor told us all about this 10-day green smoothie cleanse. She had done it before and was telling all of us how good it is for you to clean out all of the toxins from your body, which I already knew, but doing it this way is so beneficial and healthy for your body so I decided to stop by Barnes & Noble on Friday morning to check out the book. I read about how it works and what the benefits are and have decided that I’m going to give it a shot starting this Monday.

I previously mentioned that I was going to do the AdvoCare 24-day challenge again because I have done it before and it really did help rid my body from the toxins that had built up, but I decided that I’m going to try this first before purchasing AdvoCare again. AdvoCare is great and I love their products, but they can be very pricey, which makes it hard to keep up with and it also requires you to take lots of vitamins everyday. The 10-day green smoothie cleanse might be a little more difficult to accomplish due to the fact that you have to drink a green smoothie for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday for 10 days straight, but if you keep in mind that you’re doing this for your health and to get yourself into a very healthy, clean eating lifestyle then it shouldn’t be too hard to stay motivated. 10 days is really not that long.

I am not overweight and some people might think I’m crazy for wanting to stick to a good routine of exercise and diet, but I have really been trying to get myself living a healthy lifestyle. I have written on my “Becoming a Warrior” page what I went through growing up as a figure and skater and battling anorexia. Since I have stopped competing I have struggled with finding a balance of eating clean and also  treating myself to unhealthy food. I want to eat clean to be healthy not to be skinny and I want to have a good relationship with food. I have become so much stronger mentally with my body image over the last year, learning to love myself for who I am. I still will catch myself standing in front of the mirror picking apart what I would like to fix and stepping on the scale to see what I weigh and I know that will never fully go away but it certainly is fading to almost non-existant compared to how I used to be. I am doing this cleanse for my body, for my healthy, wholesome body that deserves to be loved and cherished. I will keep y’all updated on how the cleanse goes and y’all let me know if any of you have questions about how it works or how it ends up benefitting me.

Friday night I went to see 13 Hours with my dad and his best friend. That was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I love movies like American Sniper, Lone Survivor, and Zero Dark Thirty so this just became one of my new favorites.

There are so many good movies out right now. I also went to see How to be Single last night with my sister and our friend, which was such a funny and heartfelt movie. I really want to go see Risen and God’s of Egypt as well.

I hope that y’all have a wonderful Sunday and I will be back soon. ❤️

XOXO, Paige.

Sounds like a fun but busy week indeed! Want to hear more about the green cleanse (I might try it too since I too buy the pricey Advocare products) and also how Being Single was. Really want to see that one – looks so good! Have a GREAT week – LOVE YOU!!!
