My winter break has been crazy long (5 whole weeks) and I have been super busy the entire time! My classes start next Tuesday so I’ve been trying to cram in spending time with my friends before they go back to school, lunches with loved ones I haven’t seen in a while, hair/nail appointments, and getting back into a good workout routine before school starts.
I am proud to say that I have actually been very productive! I still need to clean and organize my apartment before school starts because I know it will be hard to do once my crazy schedule begins and I need to go grocery shopping this Sunday. I have already written down my schedule for the first few weeks of school to mentally prepare myself for what lies ahead, and I’ve also created a grocery list with a bunch of healthy, quick things to eat while I’m on the go.
So here is a look at how my last week of winter break has gone:
I didn’t get any pictures, but Friday I went to have lunch at Salt Grass Steakhouse and to see the movie “Sisters” with my Mom, sister, and my best friend Katy! We all had such a great time. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in a movie before!!! If you haven’t seen Sisters yet then I definitely recommend that you go see it!
Sunday morning I went to get my nails done with my Mom. I got shellac and decided to get my favorite color this time. I’ve loved this really pale pink color (which I like to call “ballerina pink”) since I was a little girl and every time I look down at my nails it makes me happy.
After we got our nails done we went to Panera Bread for some lunch. I have been obsessed with Panera this past week, I have gone there 3 times to eat some soup because I have been so cold!!
I had a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup, while my Mom tried their new chicken wonton broth. I also tried some of my Mom’s broth and it was delicious.
On Sunday evening I went to see the Houston Symphony with my family. They were honoring John Williams that night and played all of the incredible songs he has created. The first song they played was from Harry Potter and it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy we were able to go and loved the fact that my 4-year old brother sat through the whole thing!
Monday I woke up early to workout with my Dad. I got in a good cardio workout with some abs! I love working out! ❤️
Later that evening I had a couple of friends come over to watch the bachelor. First of all, I absolutely love Caila, Jojo, Amanda, and (of course)Becca so far! Second, what the heck is wrong with Lace and Olivia? I am not a fan of either of them… Ben is such a sweet bachelor!! Can’t wait too watch the rest of the season!
Yesterday I met up with one of my dearest friends for lunch. She used to be one of my skating coaches, but her and I have created such a wonderful friendship that will last a lifetime and it was so nice to catch up with her. We met to eat at this cute, little pizza place where you can create whatever you want! I got a mini pizza with white sauce, mozzarella cheese, spinach, and mushrooms.
I spent the rest of my day at the hair salon getting my highlights touched up and then I just relaxed with my family.
I watched the premiere of the Shadowhunters series, which I enjoyed. I loved the Shadowhunter movie that was called “Mortal Instruments: City of bones” with Lily Collins that was based off of the Mortal Instruments book series, but they have decided to turn the books into a tv show instead of making more movies. I was pretty bummed when I found out because I love Lily Collins but I’m excited to see how the show turns out!
Today has started off a little slow, but I am trying to get my day started lol. I just enjoyed a yummy bowl of maple brown sugar oatmeal + a teaspoon of peanut butter on the side and I’m about to hit the gym with my Dad.
This evening I’m meeting up with a group of my friends from skating for some dinner and Top Golf! I can’t wait to spend time with them before we all go back to school. I probably won’t see them very much again until summer break but time always flies by so it will be okay!
I hope y’all have a great day! I’ll be back soon! 🙂
XOXO, Paige.
