Today I decided to go eat lunch at one of my favorite places. I’m the kind of person that loves to go eat at cozy places alone, I will enjoy something yummy and either bring along a good book or check out social media while I just have some me time.
There is a cute little place I go to called Coco Crepe’s and they make the most delicious crepes!! Today I enjoyed a wheat crepe with eggs, feta cheese, and mushroom pesto sauce. I also had a cappuccino to keep me warm since it has been so cold outside the last few days.
I brought along this book called “I Am Malala,” which I have been trying to find time to read this entire Christmas break. I read the prologue and the first chapter while I ate my delicious meal.
I’m sure most of you have heard of Malala. Her story is one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever heard!! The first chapter was very enjoyable to read and I can honestly say that I got chills quite a few times already. During the first chapter Malala writes about how her life was before the Taliban took over her country. You can already tell she realizes that things aren’t right in her country even at such a young age, she notices how unequal women are to men and how she wants to be free when she becomes a woman.
I love choosing to read books that will either take me to another world, teach me something substantial, or truly inspire me. I know this book will inspire me and this is exactly what I want to be reading starting the new year. I will keep updating you with my thoughts on her book and try to spread a little inspiration to you all!
