Hi Y’all, I’m sorry that I have been so bad about consistently writing… I promise after the holidays I will be much better! Here is a little recap on what’s been going on in my life 🙂
After the week of Thanksgiving I went with my family to the Christmas tree farm where we picked out a beautiful tree for their house and then afterwards we stopped by Kroger to find an adorable, $30 tree for my little apartment. I love it!
The following day I went Christmas shopping with my family. While we were out at the cute shopping center we ate at a place called the Counter and we all had the BEST burgers & fries! Did y’all know that Legos is now making Disney Princess collections?! They had Cinderella’s castle displayed in the front of the store which made me very happy!
My cousin Shay came back home from Australia a couple of weeks ago. Shay had been gone for the last 9 months and we have all missed her so much! The day after she came home I told her that she had to dress up and go to a fancy Christmas party with my sister and I.
A dear friend of mine throws an annual Christmas party and has invited me the past 3 years, but this was the first year I was actually able to make it. She had tons of yummy food & drinks, a live singer, and a wait staff. We all had the best time!
The following day was spent with my family at a German Christmas festival! We had so much fun looking at all of the little shops they had, eating German food, and just walking around while we had some cold weather. I definitely want to go again next year!
My father had a business meeting in Dallas last week so I asked him if I could tag along and check out SMU while he was there. My sister also came with us, which turned into a fun little road trip. All three of us were amazed by how beautiful the campus was and I especially loved how nice and homey the area of Downtown Dallas felt. This was the first school to look at that was on my list so I will be checking out others as well, but I will definitely be applying to SMU!
We had some Tex-Mex before my father’s meeting and he kept spilling salsa on himself so we made him cover his shirt with a napkin lol!
Friday, December 18th 2015 at 12:15am I went to see the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I’ve never been a big Star Wars fan. I used to just watch the movies with my brothers and father because they are big Star Wars nerds (lol), but I absolutely loved that movie!! I want to watch all of the old ones over again. My dad wants to take the rest of my family to see it in IMAX soon!! My family was talking about all of us being Star Wars characters next Halloween (I know it’s extremely early) and I would love to be Queem Amidala!
Friday afternoon I met up with my best friend Katy and her adorable little girl Autumn! Her and I talk almost every single day, but we are horrible about seeing each other in person so we decided to go all out on Friday! We spent the afternoon skating with Autumn, which was a blast! Katy and I use to train together when we were both competitively skating so being out on the ice together for fun was a very heart warming experience.
Katy and I went out for some sushi after skating. We shared some rolls we had never tried before and they were all delicious!
This weekend was Nutcracker weekend at the rink and I was reminiscing over pictures of my favorite Nutcracker program that I skated with my coach a few years ago. I can’t believe how dark my hair was back then! I think I was trying to rock my inner Tessa Virtue (my ice dance idol) lol.
This weekend was also my Uncle’s 35th birthday. We celebrated it at Top Golf, which was so much fun!
I had to get a picture of my brother’s because this was just too cute to pass up!
Now it’s the week of Christmas!! I’ve been cramming in some skating lessons before all of the holiday festivities begin and I’ve also been enjoying my time without worrying about anything school related. I started running again yesterday! I took a little break after my half-marathon was sadly cancelled, but I’m ready to get back into it again!
I probably won’t be writing again until after Christmas so I wish you all a very merry Christmas!!
XOXO, Paige.❤️
