Happy Thoughts

There are quite a few things I would like to talk about today.

First of all, my second week of school has gone pretty great! I had my first paper due for English on Monday and I feel good about how it turned out.  On Tuesday my cousin’s boyfriend gave me a tour around campus.  He goes to the same university as me, so it was really cool to see everything from his point of view.  I even got a tour of the rec center and it was awesome!  I am able to workout there for free so I will certainly be utilizing that perk during my break.  Tomorrow there is going to be a pep rally at the university to get all of the students pumped up for the football season! The first football game is this Saturday. I am very excited to go watch the game and tailgate for the first time.

Second, my birthday is on Friday!!!! I am turning 20. I love my birthdays. Every year I spend the whole day with my family and we always have a wonderful time. Pumpkin spice lattes might be available on my birthday this year, which I pray for every year! You will find my entire family sitting in Starbucks, sipping on PSL’s, and enjoying some pumpkin bread the day those bad boys come out.  Like I am not joking at all. It is our tradition. Anyways, back to my birthday… Like I mentioned earlier, I am turning 20. That age just makes me feel old, maybe because I am no longer a “teenager” and never will be EVER again.  I am very excited about my life though.  I don’t mind growing older because I know that life is a wonderful adventure, and while there will always be difficulties that I and everyone else has to overcome, there is also so much to be thankful for. I am not going to fret about my age, even though I could possibly be eating my words in about fifteen years, instead I am going to embrace it with a smile.

Of course it is!
Third, I want to talk about my health and fitness these last two weeks.  I have not been able to workout as much as I would like to these last couple of weeks because I have been adjusting to a very different schedule.  At first I was really beating myself up over the fact that I didn’t get to run as much as I was supposed to or that I haven’t been eating as healthy as I possibly could, but then I realized how insanely busy I have been.  I decided to stop beating myself up and think about all of the good things I did.  I still made it to the gym a couple of times, I got in one good run, I skated three times last week, and on top of all of that I was focused on school! So instead of being mad at myself I should give myself a pat on the back. Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up a little earlier so that I can run before I get ready for school, then on Sunday I HAVE to accomplish my long run!!! I am going to keep working my hardest and kick that half-marathon in the booty next month.

Exactly what I needed.
Exactly what I needed.
Fourth, yesterday I ordered a bunch of Advocare products and I am super stoked to start taking them all again!  I did my first Advocare 24-Day Challenge about two years ago and I fell in love with the products. I looked and felt amazing while I stayed consistent with it.  I have also tried other products such as, sleep works, meal bars, and many other vitamins.  I am going to start consistently taking everything again, the only reason I stopped last time is because I was going through my “quitting skating” phase and just wanted to have zero rules and be able to eat whatever I wanted… If you read my health & fitness page it goes into more depth on that whole story.  I am going to start off with the 24-Day Challenge again because it is the BEST way to start. The challenge helps you cleanse your system and ultimately lose the craving for the sugary crap that your body wants so badly, but really doesn’t need. I’m not starting the challenge until October 1st or at least around then, because I am going to do it with my mom and her cousin. All three of us will be a team and keep each other motivated.
And lastly, here is a picture of my hair. I went back to all blonde and I love it!
I think that’s everything that I had on my mind tonight.I will write all about how my special day ends up going and how much fun I have at my first pep rally, tailgate, and football game đŸ™‚

Ahh it’s already 1am…. I better get some sleep so that I can wake up and run!!!

XOXO, Paige.
